VACCINE czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the Philippines is asking other countries, specifically the United States and Israel, for their excess coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines as the country’s supply remains low.

During the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Galvez said Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez is now in talks with the US government for their unused AstraZeneca vaccines.
