A police officer, who has been absent without official leave (AWOL), was ambushed and killed by car-riding men before dawn on Friday in Caloocan City.
Col. Samuel Mina, the city’s police chief, said Cpl. Ronel Acuña, 39, a resident of Barangay 63, also in the city, and formerly assigned to the local police, died on the spot from bullet wounds in the head and body.
