CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Special forces of the Philippine Army overran a New People’s Army (NPA) training camp in Bukidnon on Friday, killing a female combatant and recovering a cache of firearms, ammunition, personal belongings and subversive documents.

The raid, the military said, also thwarted the rebel’s plan of staging large-scale attacks on private construction companies, civilian targets and military bases to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the National Democratic Front on April 24.
