On April 7 this year, a significant event for the international maritime community was held virtually, led by no less than IMO Secretary-General Kitack Lim. The ceremony for the awarding of the International Maritime Prize and the IMO Award for Exceptional Bravery at Sea is a much-awaited IMO event usually held at the plenary hall of the Organization Headquarters in London. This year and for the first time, the awards will be given by the remote platform.
