Two cities and a municipality in Negros Occidental have closed all their tourist destinations to curb the spread of Covid-19. Jennylind Cordero, provincial tourism officer, said Himamaylan City, Sipalay City and Candoni decided to temporarily shut their doors to tourists. Other local governments are set to close their tourist destinations while some will be operating at 50 to 30 percent capacity only, Cordero said. Those with confirmed bookings have been requested to contact the concerned accommodation establishment for rebooking or cancellation arrangements. Accommodation establishments, such as pension houses, inns and lodges, shall be allowed to operate at 30 percent capacity but can only accept authorized persons outside residence and personnel delivering essential goods.
