Naic Mayor Junio Dualan ordered for a supplemental budget to augment the national government’s allocation of P115,822,000 to aid residents affected by the two weeks enhanced community quarantine. While the fund allocation was based on the 2010 census with about 29,000 households, current statistics show the town’s population is more or less 49,000 households. Thus, the local chief executive together with the members of the municipal council agreed to approve a supplemental budget of P40 million from the savings of the municipal government to augment the budget for financial assistance. Based on the Department of the Interior and Local Government directive, local government units are expected to complete the distribution of the financial assistance 15 days after the actual receipt of the funds.
