ONLY eight percent or about ₱1.75 billion of the funds allotted for the aid package has been disbursed to families in the NCR (National Capital Region) Plus so far, said Social Welfare and Development Secretary Ronaldo Bautista, admitting that the distribution was off to a "slow start".
This means roughly 1.7 million of more than 22.9 million beneficiaries in Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal received financial assistance.
