The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council on Health Research and Development (DoST-PCHRD) said in a statement on Saturday that there was no longer a need to conduct additional trials for the use of the antiparasitic drug ivermectin in the treatment of Covid-19 since these have already been done extensively in the United States.
The DoST-PCHRD said almost 20 clinical trials on the subject were already completed in the US and 40 more were ongoing as declared by the US National Library of Medicine on clinicaltrials.gov.
