Lopez firm to roll out green transformers

First Philec Inc., a subsidiary of Lopez-led First Philippine Holdings Corp., is slated to launch this year a super green transformer model made from 100-percent recyclable and biodegradable materials.

In a statement, First Philec said transformers are made mostly from metals, as well as nonmetallic components, like insulating coolants.
