THE government has warned the public against using an anti-parasitic drug as a possible cure for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), calling the advice  'dangerous'.

A group of doctors called the Concerned Doctors and Citizens of the Philippines (CDCph) has urged the Department of Health (DoH) to consider Ivermectin as a possible prophylaxis treatment for the viral disease, citing early studies that have not been peer-reviewed.
