Sy family’s SM Investments Corp. (SMIC) saw its shares slump last week amid the imposition of tighter restrictions as the surge in coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases hounded investor sentiment.

The shares of SMIC declined by P28.50 or 2.89 percent to close at P958.50 apiece on Friday, prompting the stock to end with a 7.3-percent loss week-on-week.
