French navy to help PH form submarine force

THE French Navy has committed to help the Philippines develop its own submarine force, the nation’s top naval officer said on Monday.

The Philippine Navy had eyed France, among other countries that include Germany, South Korea, India and Russia, as suppliers for its submarine acquisition project.
