Covid surge prompts Navotas lockdown

The city government of Navotas has deployed law enforcers in at least 10 areas in seven villages placed under a two-week lockdown because of a surge in Covid-19 cases.

Mayor Tobias ‘Toby’ Tiangco said he approved the recommendation of the City Health Office for a 'granular lockdown' after it noted an increase of confirmed Covid-19 cases in these areas in the last few weeks.
