MANY, if not most, of our people can say they are worse off today than they were a year ago. And there seems to be no rescue or relief soon. March 2020 was the date when we became aware of a new Pestilence.
Still, March 1945 saw a particularly gorier episode in our history in the “Battle for Manila” that began the first week of February, with consequences far worse than what we are confronted with today, the present pestilence.
