APARRI, Cagayan: Two islands in this northern town of Cagayan have been installed with sovereign markers to assert the country’s claim on the maritime territory, the Northern Luzon Command said.
Lt. Gen. Arnulfo Burgos Jr, the Northern Luzon Command chief, said his men had placed markers at Mabaag and Barit Islands in Aparri, Cagayan in addition to the 11 markers installed last year in uninhabited islands north of the province and within the Babuyan Channel.
