AS the Covid-19 vaccine is set to arrive in the country, the island of Mindoro is all set for its rollout. “Yes, there is a plan for our vaccination rollout, and the task force is on top of it. And we are preparing already for our [province-wide] simulation exercises next week,” Gov. Humerlito Dolor told The Manila Times. He added that the local government unit (LGU) has not negotiated with any pharmaceutical company, but is following closely updates from the League of Provinces of the Philippines and assurances from the national government of the availability of vaccines for the province through the Center for Health Development Region 4B of the Department of Health. Dolor also said the LGU has already identified all private and government-run hospitals, Philippine National Police medical facilities and Rural Health Units to be used as venues for inoculation activities.
