CELLULAR phones and other mobile devices that transmit, store or record data are now prohibited inside secure spaces of the Bureau of Customs (BoC).

Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero signed Office of the Commissioner Memo 33-2021 on February 22, which defined secure spaces as conference rooms, assessment, and liquidation floors and workstations. These designated areas shall be marked as “Restricted Area-No Mobile Phones.”
