INITIATED by the Manila Jaycees as a chapter project on April 6, 1959 during their 11th National Convention in Baguio City, honoring exemplary Filipinos through the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Awards has become a most awaited annual event in celebration of talent, skills and grit among the 18 to 40 years old populace of the country the last 61 years.
From hundreds of nominations by individuals and organizations throughout the archipelago, the Junior Chamber International (JCI) or Jaycees Philippines has chosen many great young men and women who have made significant contributions to their field and community for the distinction.
