THE Duterte economic team will look for ways to further reopen more industries in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) in a bid to curb the rising unemployment and hunger rate amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said this in a press conference on Tuesday after President Rodrigo Duterte rejected the proposal of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to place the entire country under the most lenient modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
