Thank goodness the massive conglomerate that is Alliance Global Inc. isn’t just CEO Kevin Tan’s birthright and that he was indeed born with instinctive skills to lead it and lead it well. To be sure, his billionaire father, Andrew Tan, trained him with love and by whip and example, as he rose up the ranks from a mere sales agent to the top executive posts across the family’s diverse investments; but it is all the more certain the senior Tan couldn’t have seen a pandemic bringing the world to a stop in this lifetime, nor prepare his son to steer his life’s work through such catastrophe.
