THE House Committee on Public Accounts will conduct an inquiry into the financial status of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) amid proposals to increase the premium contribution rates of its members, committee chairman and Probinsyano Ako party-list Rep. Jose “Bonito” Singson Jr. said on Saturday.
In a previous briefing, GSIS officials said the contribution hike was being studied as the House of Representatives started to consider bills seeking to provide additional benefits that would somehow affect the current financial state of GSIS.
