TRADE Secretary Ramon Lopez is urging local governments under the general community quarantine (GCQ) to allow cinemas to operate even at 20 percent capacity to generate more jobs to people affected by the pandemic.

During the Laging Handa public briefing on state-run PTV-4 held on Friday, Lopez said that the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) recommendation was based on its observation that those cinemas allowed to open in areas under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) did not result in higher cases of the coronavirus disease 2019.
