SMC’s Better World Diliman, which opened July last year, is a readymarket for excess produce for some 4,500 farmers across Luzon. Located in UP Village, Quezon City and built in partnership with social enterprise Rural Rising Philippines, the center aims to boost farmers’ income, especially in these difficult times and reduce food waste.

SAN Miguel Corporation’s (SMC) Better World Diliman community center sold over half a million kilos of excess farm produce in just six months of operation, benefitting 4,500 farmers all over Luzon, company President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon Ang, reported.
