Latest civil-registry statistics from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for 2019 revealed that births among girls ages 15 years old and below have gone up by seven percent, compared to 2018.
This is the ninth year since 2011 that this figure has continued to rise, the Commission on Population and Development (PopCom) warned.
