ASF-suspect Cagayan slaughterhouse closed

LAL-LO, Cagayan: A temporary ban on the slaughter of pigs in this town has been recommended by the provincial veterinary office (PVO) due to the detection of infection at the town’s slaughterhouse.

Dr. Noli Buen, PVO acting chief, said a pig at the slaughterhouse was reportedly diagnosed with symptoms of the African swine fever (ASF).
