THE Supreme Court (SC) has ruled with finality against detained Senator Leila de Lima's petition for habeas data that she filed against President Rodrigo Duterte for lack of merit.

In a resolution dated Nov. 3, 2020, but which was released to media recently, the high tribunal en banc voted to deny the motion for reconsideration of De Lima because there were no new substantial arguments presented to warrant the reversal of its earlier ruling.
