The Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (Philexport) called for the suspension of the proposed mandatory weighing of export containers.
In a letter addressed to the Port Operations and Services Department of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Philexport President Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr. questioned whether the policy can be implemented properly amid the pandemic and other urgent issues facing exporters and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
