THE Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education headed by Sen. Emmanuel Joel Villanueva approved without objection on Tuesday House Bill 7566, which converts the Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) into a state university.

Rep. Josephine Sato of Occidental Mindoro, author of the bill, told the Manila Times in an interview that she wished for the passage of the bill into law before the year-end.
