The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Thursday welcomed the creation of a government task force on economic intelligence that is assigned to pursue profiteers, price manipulators, hoarders and smugglers amid rising prices of basic goods.

In a briefing, Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) Director Reildren Morales said the budget for the task force would come from the intelligence funds of the agencies involved.
