AN ice plant owned by relatives of Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco was ordered closed after at least two workers died while 96 others were injured following an ammonia leak from the facility late Wednesday afternoon.

The fatalities were identified as Gilbert Tiangco, 44; and Joselito Jazareno, 54, a Malabon City resident. The two were workers of the T. P. Marcelo Ice Plant on R-10, Barangay North Bay Boulevard South.
