DPWH installs new district engineers

TACLOBAN CITY, LEYTE: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Eastern Visayas has started the reassignments of district engineers in the region as part of the nationwide reorganization made by DPWH Secretary Mark Villar. Engineer Sandy Pua, chief of the DPWH Regional Office 8 construction division, installed yesterday Ferdinand Briones as new district engineer of the Biliran Engineering District Office based in Naval, Biliran. Briones, former district engineer of the Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office based in Barangay Burabod, Laoang in Northern Samar swapped with former Biliran district engineer David Adongay Jr. Pua said he also installed Engineer Arnaldo Bonifacio as new district engineer of the Fourth Leyte Engineering District based in Ormoc City. Bonifacio turned over his post to former Fourth Leyte Engineering District Engineer Lino Francisco Gonzalez who is now the new district engineer of the DPWH Tacloban City District Engineering Office. Bonifacio who was instrumental in the rehabilitation of Tacloban City after Super Typhoon “Yolanda” expressed his thanks to his staff and personnel as well as the various sectors who helped him implement various infrastructure and development projects in the city.
