FARM machineries worth P202 million were given to Bulakenyo farmers by the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) through the provincial government of Bulacan held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in the City of Malolos on Tuesday morning. Gov. Daniel Fernando led the distribution of said agricultural machineries together with Ma. Gloria Carrillo, provincial agriculturist, as the PhilMech and the provincial government continues with its distribution of farm machineries and equipment to 91 farmers’ cooperatives and associations all over the province under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Program (RCEP). This includes 70 four-wheel drive tractors, 84 hand tractors, two precision seeders, 12 transplanters, 15 rice reapers, 28 combine harvesters, four floating tillers, three transplanter-riding types and post-harvest facilities such as one multi-pass rice mill and one recirculating dryer. Carrillo said all qualified beneficiaries underwent application, submitted requirements and were evaluated accordingly based on PhilMech’s policies. “RCEP is funded under the…Rice Tariffication Law.
