The Philippine government will take up the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) with the administration of United States President Joseph Biden Jr., Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez said.

Romualdez’s announcement came after the new US administration vowed to protect the Philippines from foreign incursion, following the passage of China of a new law that allows its coast guard to fire on foreign vessels in disputed waters.
