STOP Corruption Organization Philippines Inc. (Scopi) is poised to file graft charges against ranking officials of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas-Security Plant Complex (BSP-SPC) and the members of its bids and awards committee (BAC) over perceived anomalies in the procurement of 116 million Philippine Identification (Phil ID) cards.
Actually, Scopi may have already filed its complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman by the time this column comes out. I wrote this piece on Wednesday, January 13.
