A succession of achievements marks the 23rd founding anniversary of the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) on Thursday, January 14.
Its president, Vice Admiral Eduardo Ma. Santos disclosed that the maritime school was recently certified by Det Norsk Veritas (DNV), the Norway-based international classification society, for passing the ISO 21001:2018 management standards for maritime education and training, making it the first maritime institution in the country to be certified as such.
