MOccidental says no to reenacted 2021 budget

Mindoro Occidental Gov. Eduardo Gadiano expressed his dismay after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP or Provincial Council) did not approve the proposed P1.8-billion annual appropriations for the province, saying the province cannot afford to operate on a reenacted budget because the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic is ongoing.

Gadiano in an interview on Wednesday explained that services, programs and projects might be adversely affected and some employees of the province might face unemployment under a reenacted budget.
