Sotto files bill seeking to grant franchise to ABS-CBN

SENATE President Vicente Sotto 3rd has sought the renewal of the franchise of ABS-CBN Corporation to create competition in television news programming.

The senator on Monday filed Senate Bill (SB) 1967 that seeks to give ABS-CBN a franchise for 25 years.
