THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) expressed confidence that the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) is on track to meet all its targets by the time its term ends in May 2021.

Secretary Cimatu readily took the challenge of the President to clean upBoracay and with military zeal, he recommended the six-month closureof the island despite much resistance from the business sector, highranking government officials and even from some of its residents.
