DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite: A police officer assigned at Tiaong Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Quezon province was killed by three suspects in front of his house in Barangay Datu Esmael here on Monday afternoon. Police SSgt. Richard Do mingo, officer-on-case, identified the victim as police SSgt. Roseman Batao, 36, married, active member of the Philippine National Polce, currently assigned at Tiaong MPS and native of Dasmariñas City. Batao was fixing his Toyota Hi-Ace van in front of his house when three of the four male suspects armed with different calibers of firearm and riding a gray Honda City simultaneously shot the victim around 2:20 p.m. He sustained several gunshot wounds in the body and died instantly. Investigation of the incident is ongoing.
