ROSARIO, Cavite: Nine municipalities here including four coastal towns received “drug-clear” awards during the Online 2020 Antidrug Abuse Council Special Awards on Dec. 18, 2020. The upland towns of Amadeo, Carmona, Magallanes, Maragondon and Mendez and the coastal municipalities of Naic, Noveleta, Rosario and Ternate were recognized together with other towns and cities in the Philippines. “This award is due to the joint efforts of the local police under Maj. Alexis Tuazon, local police chief, each barangay (village), [the] local government and you, dear Noveletenos, can assure that we will intensify the antidrug campaign in our town,” said Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua. Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Wilkins Villanueva and Interior Secretary Eduardo Ano said the awardees deserve the honor for boosting the Duterte administration’s war on illegal drugs.
