PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Judge Anisah Amanodin-Umpa as associate justice of the Court of Appeals (CA).
Amanodin-Umpa is the first female appointee to the CA from the Muslim community. She and fellow Muslim Justice Japar Dimaampao were lawyer-accountants before becoming justices.
