SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union: Contractors who are allegedly used by politicians are now prohibited from participating in bidding for infrastructure projects implemented by district engineering offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region 1 (Ilocos Region) to prevent graft and corruption.
This was learned from DPWH Regional Director Ronnel Tan and other officials after their monthly meeting recently as part of their all-out support to the anticorruption campaign of DPWH Secretary Mark Villar and President Rodrigo Duterte.
