CREDENTIALS Ambassador-designate Koshikawa Kazuhiko presented to President Rodrigo Duterte the credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of the Philippines at Malacañang Palace on December 14. Ambassador Koshikawa stated that he would make effort in increasing bilateral trade and investment and promoting the cooperation on various issues such as infrastructure development, disaster risk reduction, medical and health sector, agriculture, Mindanao peace process, and peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Describing Japan as a friend that is closer than a brother, President Duterte welcomed Ambassador Koshikawa to the country and appreciated Japan’s assistance to Covid-19 response and support for developing agendas of the Philippines.
