I was invited to join Enderun’s Pastry Course under their flagship Online Culinary eXperience program run by Ecole Ducasse Manila. Together with the other students, we were taught how to make sourdough donuts, with ingredients beautifully packaged and delivered to us prior to the commencement of the course.

I love donuts – they are the perfect pair to a cup of strong black coffee, and the vegan versions available these days do not disappoint as well. Making sourdough donuts is even more interesting since this type uses fermentation which gives super soft, pillowy and airy donuts. The variety of flavors abounds too, and there is no stopping one’s imagination as to where the flavors can go.
