NONITO Donaire Jr. withdrew from his fight against Emmanuel Rodriguez after testing positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), as reported by BoxingScene.com on Thursday (Philippine time).
The Filipino Flash with a record of 40 wins against six losses and the Puerto Rican Rodriguez (19-1) were supposed to fight for the World Boxing Council bantamweight title in the main event of Showtime's triple-header at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on December 19.
