Duterte expected to weigh in on proposal

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte is expected to give a lot of weight to the proposal of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for the government not to declare a ceasefire with the Communist Party of the Philippines and its armed wing New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) during the holidays, his spokesman said on Thursday.
