THE 32-year-old daughter of slain Anakpawis chairman Randall Echanis was arrested for alleged illegal possession of guns and explosives in Carupian, Baggao, Cagayan on Wednesday, police said.

BGen. Crizaldo Nieves, Cagayan Valley regional police director, identified the arrested as Amanda Socorro Echanis, alias “Waya” or “Julian,” an alleged finance officer of the West Front-Komiteng Probinsya ng Cagayan of Cagayan Valley Regional Party Committee of New People’s Army operating in the region.
