Some 1.5 million Filipinos will be inoculated with the AZD1222 coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine after the Philippine government and a group of private companies signed a purchase agreement with vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca on Friday.
The P600-million agreement will ensure that 2.6 million doses of the vaccine will be delivered to the country from May to June of 2021.
