For almost 11 years now, families of journalists who were killed in the Maguindanao massacre in southern Mindanao on Nov. 23, 2009, had been hoping that the rest of the suspects who participated in the mass killing would be put behind bars so that absolute justice would be served, according to Joseph Jubelag, facilitator for the families.

About 58 persons, including 32 members of the print and broadcast media, were killed in the worst election-related violence in the country, also said to be the deadliest against journalists in the world.
