This year’s edition of the much-awaited Cine Europa film festival just held an on-ground launch at the SM Cinema Drive-In at the Mall of Asia with toasts and greetings from the western supercontinent’s proponents of arts. Announcing its first ever offering of virtual screenings, film enthusiasts met the annual festival with much enthusiasm, praising it for a fun, new, and safe way to enjoy, as always, a line-up of critically acclaimed films amid the pandemic.
A joint project of the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, the EU Member States and cultural institutions, and the Embassy of Switzerland, together with SM Cinema, Cine Europa is already available for virtual viewing until November 29.
